I can’t deny that I’m an indie music junkie. I love obscure musicians, covers, and collaborations. But don’t label me a hipster snob just yet. I also love OneRepublic, Justin Timberlake and David Guetta. All mainstream. I do think it’s the type of music that attracts me rather than the performer or the lyrical content. I also listen to The Cinematic Orchestra ― and in my opinion, lyrics are an after thought in most of their songs. That said, here are my top 3 websites to discover new music:
- Spotify: Music for everyone.
- 8tracks: Handcrafted internet radio. It offers a simple way for people to share and discover music through an online mix, a short playlist containing at least 8 tracks.
- thesixtyone: New artists make music and listeners decide what’s good.
I hope these sites help you expand your playlist further. I’ll leave you with the best version of Chocolate ever. So much feels.
